Green Lakes State Park

We took many walks here with our dearly departed greyhound, River. Come for the green lakes (yes, they really are that green!) and stay for the cool breeze and pretty lakeside plants.

Heid's of Liverpool

Drive up to Liverpool and grab a hot dog (we’d recommend a snappy!), some pickles, and an ice cream, then take a walk around Onondaga Lake Park and the Butterfly Garden across the street.

The Fitz

You’ll find this speakeasy in the basement of Oh My Darlin’, a lovely brunch joint in downtown Syracuse. We spent many a weekend night here after swing dance events, and it often hosts live musicians.

If a speakeasy isn’t your vibe, but you’d still like to check out downtown Syracuse, we might recommend Funk N Waffles (where we had some of our earliest dates), Dinosaur BBQ (a local classic), or Wildflowers Armory (a local artists’ collective which also played host to our dance events).
